New Breed Project: Dating Simby ~cdra

Welcome to the world of Pokemon... or, well, it used to be. About a century ago, a biological agent was released which caused Pokemon to go nearly extinct, though it didn't affect humans. The last wild Pokemon survive in the harshest environments: deserts, tall mountains, the depths of the ocean; the last captive Pokemon survive through the PC storage system, and through secluded, sterile labs and breeding facilities.

You are Kevin Walsh, a young man taken to the study of Pokemon, despite their rarity. One day, your boss brings in a peculiar specimen: a man who has many traits common to a Typhlosion, though he is undeniably human. The same night, your coworker Noel goes missing. He returns two days later somehow... different. He leaves everything behind, and you with only a cryptic message... with the escape of the specimen and loss of all the data retrieved, research in that direction halts.

It has been a year, and you try not to think about what happened to Noel. You and your new partner Tanya are on your way to another branch of the laboratory, in Violet City, though you have stopped in Goldenrod for a time. And it seems that the world is conspiring to bring you into some greater story... and you are starting to question why your stomach is turning purple...

What was it Noel said? "Then, you're one of them too"...?

This is an ongoing project of mine temporarily called "The New Breed Project". It'll get a better name, I promise.

The New Breed Project is a visual novel/dating sim game rated 18+ for hentai and yaoi scenes. You heard me: this game can be played either as a boy-gets-girl hentai game of a boy-gets-boy yaoi game, or both (which I recommend if you're into it)! You can also turn off all 18+ material but you cannot prevent arcing characters of either gender in that case. Sorry 'bout that.

In the center of this picture is Kevin, who is "you". In left-to-right, top-to-bottom order, the characters you can get endings with are Fritzi, Rex, Noel, Tanya, Liyu, and Mark. Short bios:

This is a long-term project, unfortunately. This picture took me three days to finish, and well, I have a lot of cgs to draw and a lot of dialogue to write and code. I'll be using ren'py to make the game. Expect more sketches and teaser images and character bios as I continue working! I just needed all the characters on one page and colored xP

I do not claim any ownership over Pokemon; this is a fan game and I will make no profit from it. Thereby I am within copyright law.

I'm definitely interested

The plot seems intense, unlike most dating sims, with a touch of mystery, and the art is fairly good. Noel and Liyu's designs are particularly striking. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on your progress. Good luck!

Oh, thanks! I promise I haven't abandoned this despite how old this is, I've been very busy with life and music and occasionally trying to sort out plotholes. v_v

Guh, I'm glad you like Liyu because I hate drawing her. xD I'm trying to make sure it has a nice fun plot outside of "get with person" because it's more fun that way. So yes, thank you for the encouragement, I'm definitely still working on this quietly!
